What is WeightWatchers Clinic?

WeightWatchers Clinic is a weight loss program that provides members with ongoing, comprehensive access to online care and medication management for one flat monthly rate.

How much does the program cost?

The initial consultation is $49, due at the time of checkout. After that, membership for the program is as low as $84 per month. This includes follow-up appointments, access to a dietitian, fitness coaching, our companion app, weight health lessons, an insurance coordinator, and more.

Additionally, we’re running a promotion for the first month free. So your first membership fee won’t be billed until 30 days after you check out.

We try to make the program as risk-free as possible: if you choose our $99 month-to-month plan, you can unsubscribe at any time. We also offer multi-month discounts for those looking for a longer term commitment.

How do I sign up?

To get started, simply complete the WeightWatchers Clinic quiz to see if you're a good fit for our program.

Is WeightWatchers Clinic available in all states?

WeightWatchers Clinic is available for members in all 50 states. Please note that in order to prescribe medication, a prescribing provider has to be licensed in the state where the member is located. This means that appointment availability can vary on a state-by-state basis. At this time, we are not available for members outside of the United States.

Do I need to make changes to my diet with WeightWatchers Clinic?

Most of the medications our clinicians prescribe are appetite suppressants, which means that you may not feel the same level of cravings that you typically do. That said, a balanced diet and regular exercise are normal parts of any weight management program.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to join WeightWatchers Clinic?

Nope!

Does WeightWatchers Clinic replace my primary care provider?

No. WeightWatchers Clinic doesn't offer primary care. WeightWatchers Clinic complements your primary care provider to offer sustainable weight management solutions. We're always excited to partner with your primary care provider or other specialists to share updates on your progress.

How long will I need to be a member to see results?

Everyone's body is unique, but on average, members lose 5% of their body weight within 3 months, and 10% of their body weight within 6 months.

Is my medical information protected?

Yes. As a healthcare company, we take member privacy very seriously and have implemented strict security protocols to protect your information.

Do you require lab work?

Labs help your Clinician to better understand your medical history and the best treatment path for you. If you’ve recently done lab work, you can upload it for your Clinician. If you don’t have recent labs, your Clinician will order you a complimentary metabolic lab panel which you can complete at either a LabCorp or Quest location.

Who are the clinicians at WeightWatchers Clinic?

All of our providers are US-licensed and board-certified with years of clinical experience. We also work with specialists and leaders in the industry to construct a program that fits each person’s unique biology, behaviors, and preferences.

Can I get the credentials of the medical provider I’m working with?

Insurance Coverage

Do you take insurance?

We don’t take insurance for the membership cost yet, but we will work with your commercial or employer insurance to see which medications are covered.

Do you take HSA / FSA funds?

Services may be eligible for FSA/HSA reimbursement. Check with your FSA/HSA provider for eligibility requirements. You can pay with an HSA or FSA card. If you have already checked out, you can update your payment method to an HSA or FSA card in your account settings.

What if my insurance doesn’t cover the medication?

Your Care Team will work with your insurance to maximize coverage and minimize out-of-pocket cost. For treatment plans which include non-GLP-1 medications, WeightWatchers Clinic will cover the cost.

Weight Loss Medications

What medications do you prescribe?

The exact medication that your Clinician will prescribe depends on your medical history, biology, and insurance coverage. When appropriate, your Clinician may prescribe GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide (brand name Wegovy), liraglutide (brand name Saxenda), or tirzepatide (brand name Zepbound). When appropriate, your clinician may prescribe other medications with which other members have found success such as Metformin and combination Naltrexone and Bupropion. If your treatment plan isn’t working for you, talk to your WeightWatchers Clinic Care Team about adjustments or alternative plans.

Are compounded medications an option?

While some telehealth companies offer compounded versions of GLP-1 medications, we’re wholeheartedly against this path. Here's why: We’re committed to member safety. Compounded versions haven’t undergone the same rigorous testing as FDA-approved weight-loss meds. That said, we understand cost-effectiveness is often the draw. Our Care Team is dedicated to building a care plan that works for you and your budget.

Does WeightWatchers Clinic prescribe Wegovy / Semaglutide?

Yes. If appropriate, our clinicians may prescribe Wegovy, semaglutide, or other weight management medications, including GLP-1s. WeightWatchers Clinic will work with your insurance to maximize prescription coverage. If these medications are not covered by your insurance or if your preferred pharmacy does not have the medication in stock, your WeightWatchers Clinic clinician will evaluate you for an alternative treatment.

Are the medications safe?

All of the medications we prescribe are FDA-approved and have been used for clinically-assisted weight management in trials.

What side effects should I expect?

Our Clinicians can prescribe a variety of different weight management medications tailored to your unique biology, behaviors, and preferences. Your Clinician will work with you to explain the specific side effects you could encounter with your specific medications. If you experience side effects, you can easily report them to your Care Team in the app.

What if my Clinician determines a prescription is not right for me?

We’ll determine if you’re a good fit during the intake quiz and your initial Clinician consultation. Your program only begins if your Clinician determines that you’re a good fit.

Is medication included in my membership fee?

It depends on your treatment plan. For GLP-1 medications, your medications are not included, but your Care Team will work with you to get your medication covered by insurance. If insurance covers your medication, you may still be responsible for a copay.

For non-GLP-1 Core medications, your medications are included in the cost of membership when you choose our mail-order pharmacy partner, Carepoint.
